Do you know as a Gmail user, you are able to spice your inbox up with themes?
To customize, go to the Themes tab under Settings and click one. As for which theme to choose, you decide.
One of the themes I'm currently using is Tea House. Besides using simple color and cute fox character, the background image automatically changes in 12 different time. It's beautiful!
