MMM 154 is my dream car registration number. Simply because it's the abbreviation of my full name. Muhammad Muhaimin Mohd ISA (154).
In order to get the number, I need to go to Melaka and buy a vehicle on a date in the future. And I need to do a little calculation here to get the soonest date when the MMM 154 is available.
Here goes:
Referring to the latest registration number at jpj.gov.my
on 1/7, Melaka's latest number is
MBQ 5921
just now (20/7),
MBQ 8246
In average:
(8246 - 5921)/19 days = 122.368 vehicles are registered a day
We are at MBQ now, to reach MBR:
It will take around (9999 - 8246)/116.25 = 14 days
From alphabet to alphabet (ie MBR to MBS, MBS to MBT and so forth):
9999/122.368 = 82 days needed
Now to reach MMM:
MBR to MCA:
R-S + S-T + T-U + U-V + V-W + W-X + X-Y + Y-A = 8 alphabet to alphabet transitions
MCA to MDA = 23 transitions
MDA to MMA = 184 transitions
MMA to MMM = 11 transitions
This calculation is after exclusion of reserve alphabets (i, o and z).
So there are 8 + 23 + 184 + 11 = 226 transitions to get from MBQ to MMM.
Now let's see whats the total days before I can get my favorite number:
(82 days x 226) + 14
= 18546 days
= 50 years 10 months
Ulang balik? Lagi 50 tahun 10 bulan baru sampai MMM? Ngee.
